TRICK Drums  -  Where Physics Becomes Art ™

Trick drums are manufactured using our special resonant alloy - AL13.

Our material comes certified from the mill, and guarantees the same hardness and thickness of every Trick drum shell to 1/8" or 3.175mm.

AL13 provides the pureness of tone, resonance,

durability and performance that comes standard with every drum we build.

Our manufacturing process and material allows Trick drum shells to tonally descend in a perfectly pitched separation. 

By using this uniform AL13 material, our shells separate tonally via their size increments with no other variables.

Under optimal conditions, the only thing which should effect the tone

 from drum to drum is the increase in depth and diameter.

At Trick we have achieved this.

The reasons this does not apply to wooden shells is because

they're manufactured from numerous plies,

differing in hardness and moisture content.

Most shells made from wood contain several plies

which are held together with glue.

That process has a negative effect on any drum shell's ability to resonate a clear, and true tone.

Trick Drums also feature bearing edges are lathe cut

to an exacting double 45 degrees.

This allows for superior attack, sensitivity, and faster tuning.
